Ginger Ann Bird Colby, 43, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away April 22, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Ginger was born May 22, 1974, to Peggy Ann Hansen Bird and Melvin Dean Bird. She was born and raised in Idaho Falls, the second oldest of four.
Ginger married Jessie Colby in September of 1994. They had three children, Tegan, Meryssa and Madison, who were their everything UNTIL… her grandchildren, Rian and Brailey, came into their life.
She worked at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in the communications department for 20 years. She attended Idaho State University to further her education.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie Colby; son, Tegan (Kayla) Colby; daughters, Meryssa Colby and Madison Colby; her mother, Peggy Bird; her father, Dean (Dixie) Bird; sisters, Stephanie Bird and Melanie (Adam) Schenck; her brother, Rob (Jenny) Bird; and grandchildren, Rian and Brailey. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and honorary children.
She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Condolences for the family may be left at www.woodfuneralhome.com.
