Jesse James Hiatt, 22, of Idaho Falls, passed away after a brief illness Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. He was surrounded by his family and close friends.
Jesse was born March 21, 1994, in Idaho Falls to Thane D Hiatt and Tawna Jean Taylor Hiatt. He attended Bonneville High School and Taylor's Crossing Public Charter School in Idaho Falls, graduating in 2012. He continued his education at WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming, earning a degree as a diesel mechanic.
Jesse enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowboarding, playing baseball and spending time with family and friends. Jesse was very generous with everything including his time. He always knew how to put a smile on everyone's face and made sure that he made their day better.
He is survived by his fiancée, Tayler Browning, of Idaho Falls; parents, Thane D and Tawna Jean Hiatt, of Idaho Falls; sister, Amanda Kae Hiatt, of St. Anthony; brother, Konnor Daniel Hiatt, of St. Anthony; grandmothers, Ruth Hiatt, of Rigby, and Donna Jean Taylor, of Idaho Falls.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joshua James Hiatt; grandfathers, Willard Carpenter Taylor and Dale Lee Hiatt; and uncle, James Scott Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main St., Rigby. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services, both times at the chapel. Burial will be in Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
