Lynn Arave Obituary
Lynn dedicated over 30 years of his life working as a utility operator at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) before his retirement, much of which he dedicated to enjoying his family, 10 grandchildren, Neisha, Shaylee, Jaiddon, Ashlee, Patrick, Nea, Becca, Keisha, Jordan and Miklo and 10 great-grandchildren, Strider, Kyree, Archer, Kendrick, Karter, Chenee, Cameron, Addie, Emma, and Oliver, all of whom thought he was the best papa ever.
Lynn was known for his humor, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail. His practical skills made him the family's go-to fixer, adept with any tool in hand. Beyond his workbench, he found solace and joy in the great outdoors. An avid hunter, Lynn was especially passionate about muzzleloader hunting, and he cherished the times spent fishing, horseback riding, and crafting leatherwork for family and friends. Lynn's life was marked by his steadfast love for his family, his unwavering work ethic, and his profound connection to the natural world.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Gayla Arave; sons: Gary (David Villanueva) Arave and Gregg (Jackie) Arave; daughter-in-law, Glenda Arave; sisters: Karen Wojnarowicz, Debra Arave, and Renee (David) Wilson; and brother, Kim Arave. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Monta Arave; son, Gavin Arave; and brothers: Kyle Arave and Chuck Arave.
A celebration of Lynn's life will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m., on December 7, 2024, in the Eagle Rock room at the Hampton Inn, 645 Lindsay Boulevard, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and legacy.
Cremation is under the care of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.

Lynn worked with my dad at the INEL. Him and Gayla became very good friends of our family and remained so. I will miss our visits at Walmart with Lynn and Gayla. We will all miss them dearly.
