Mickie was always cheerful when she was around others, even when she felt miserable. She was very strong about not wanting her troubles to impact others. Watching her with her grandsons was a joy! She played with them, teased them and made them laugh. She would watch them play games for hours just because they enjoyed having her there. We will miss her example and her laughter.

I wanted to tell Pete, Patty, and Angel how sorry I was for your loss. Mickie and I worked together at Motel West for several years and then she came and worked for me at the Fairfield Inn. I loved to play and tease little Angel as we watched her grow. The Garcia family have always been apart of my heart and Mickie will be missed. I know that she is safe, warm, and at piece. I send my love. Jeff Johnson and the staff at the Fairfield Inn
