Patrick L. Bowman, 69, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Turtle and Crane Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls.
Patrick was born in Beloit, Wis., on Oct. 22, 1942, to Edgar and Cecil Bowman. His older brother, Monte, welcomed him into their home.
He attended schools in the Los Angeles school system and graduated from Westchester High School in 1960.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1961 and served for three years, receiving an honorable discharge in 1964.
Patrick moved to Idaho Falls in 1977 and went to work for the Idaho Department of Transportation. He remained with them until his retirement in 2004.
He loved sports of all kinds, and was an avid NFL fan. At his best, he was well-loved by all those who knew him.
Patrick is survived by his daughter, Sandra L. Bowman and a son, Patrick C. Bowman, both of Tehachapi, Calif.; grandchildren, Jaicy and Emily Bowman, also of Tehachapi, Calif.; and a brother, Monte (Donna) of Boise.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
