Randy Anderson Obituary

Randy returned to her heavenly home on June 19, 2024, at the age of 77, after a valiant battle with dementia. She was born on December 24, 1946, to Milford and Greta Christensen in Blackfoot, Idaho, where she resided during her childhood.

Randy married Bud Anderson at the age of 18 and together they had five children. Their lives later took separate paths, but Randy maintained her devotion to family throughout and filled her life with flourishing friendships.

After raising her children, Randy developed an interest in naturopathic medicine specializing in iridology and treatment with herbs. She quickly grew an extensive following and deeply influenced the lives of those who sought care from her. She had a unique ability to connect with every person that she crossed paths with.

Aside from her professional accomplishments, Randy was widely known for her many talents and her bright, youthful spirit. She was an incredible pianist, actively participated in the church choir, and had a passion for dance. She took great pride in her home and loved cooking, decorating, and nurturing her yard. Complimenting her passion for holistic health, she enjoyed the practice of Feng Shui and incorporated this into her life and the lives of those around her. Randy was perceived as a pillar of strength for her family and friends and exuded authenticity in every aspect of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents Gretta Allred and Milford Wayne Christensen.

She is survived by her brothers, Terry Christensen, Kim (Nancy) Christensen, and Bart (Mahlora) Christensen; her children, Miles (Tresa) Anderson, Shawn (Melanie) Anderson, Kyle (Traci) Anderson, Amanda (Virgil) Schmitt, and Mace (Julie) Anderson; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; 1 niece and 3 nephews.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery, followed by a public celebration of life at the Brickyard Event Center from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

The family would like to extend gratitude to Lincoln Court and Hands of Hope Hospice for offering compassion and support throughout Randy's end of life care.

My heart is broken with the passing of my only sister Randy.

Randy has always been the stability that was needed many times in her life, whether she wanted to be it not. During the difficult time when Bart and I were young, she was always there to help - a buck or two when needed, emotional support when we were confused and needed a rock, she was there.

Her kind and loving personality was always on display and only rarely would she ask for help, and I am glad people were there to help.

Many good and some times funny conversations will be taking place this week as folks remember and show love and respect for Randy, and they will all be well deserved.

I will always love you "To the Moon" kid.

Love to Randy´s family during this difficult time.

... A few simple memories and thoughts about my sister.
Randy was the first of four kids and I was the last.
From my vantage point I got to watch her grow and excel as both a young woman and then as an adult as she started her amazing family.
Randy was so musical and wow could she play the piano!
She would fill our home and our hearts with such beautiful music.
At family gatherings, I would get to stand by her as she played and I'd sing little songs.
I can still hear her music to this day.

Another memory was watching her waterski. Dad would take us out on the boat. Randy would lift off the water on those skies and go like crazy. She was so good. She was fearless. Where did she get that confidence.

There was also a time that she lived in an apartment directly behind the family home. Kim and I would go over to her place and hang out. Many times we would listen to music. She had an album by Sandy Nelson. He played the drums. It was cool music with the focus on his drumming. Thanks Randy for letting us spend that special time with you.

OK. That's a few of the wonderful memories I have when I think of Randy.
Right now my thoughts are also with her family and friends as they morn for her passing. Hopefully their memories will help ease some of their sorrow.

My final thought (which gives me comfort) is that my sister's faith gave her a clear expectation of what waits for her on the other side. Now she gets to enjoy that journey with as much passion as she lived her life here on earth.

Enjoy the journey Randy!
We love you.
