Ruby Rackham Ross, our wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, soared peacefully into heaven Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. She passed away peacefully at the Homestead Assisted Living Center in St. Anthony.
Ruby was born May 14, 1925, in Teton City, Idaho. She was the only daughter of Claud and Janetta Rackham. She grew up in Teton City, where she attended her schooling and graduated from Madison High School.
She married Norman Ross on March 15, 1946. They made their lifelong home in Newdale, Idaho. She was a loving, warm wife and mother who always had warm bread or cookies when family came in from work or school.
Ruby served faithfully in the Primary and Relief Society for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Norman; and her three children, Shana Ross of Payson, Utah, Marla (John) Anderson of Rigby and Stacy (Molli) Ross of Yakima, Wash. She has 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one son and one great-grandson.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the loving staff and administration of the Homestead Assisted Living Center. Also a loving thanks to Dawn Egbert, a Rexburg-Ashton Hospice nurse who took such good care of mom.
A family visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Newdale LDS Church with Bishop Grover presiding.
