Violet Christensen Obituary
Violet Jean Morley Christensen, 87, passed away Nov. 21, 2009, at Grace Health Care in Glenwood Springs, Colo.
Jean was born Dec. 12, 1921, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Joseph and Astrid Morley.
She married Dale M. Christensen on June 26, 1946, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Jean served in the Navy during World War II. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Jean is survived by her children, Robert M. Christensen (Candice) of Aspen, Colo., Randall M. Christensen of Crawfords- ville, Ind., Sally Novak (Tim) of New York, N.Y., and Diana Flett (David) of Melbourne, Fla.; siblings, William Morley of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mary Schwendiman of Bountiful, Utah, and Betty Ahlstrom of Idaho Falls; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale; sisters, Louise and Dorothy; and brothers, Maurice and Robert.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at the Glenwood Springs LDS church. A viewing will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Farnum Holt Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood Springs. Burial will be in Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs.Christensen
