When I lived in Boise - 60s - Vonda was was one my dearest friends. My toddler Mark played with her two little ones. When Jonathan was born - 68 - she gave him a tiny blue outfit that I treasured - knowing how hard it must've been to shop. Mr. Winsky was my piano tuner and I remember the day he died suddenly - resting on a friend's sofa - such a huge loss to the music community and a terrible loss for Vonda. She was so strong and never gave in to grief, but dedicated herself to taking great care of her little ones. One day as she & I were visiting I realized that our 3 little ones were not in sight. She said - not to worry - they're pedaling their trikes outside on the sidewalk by a certain window. Her home was immaculate - nothing every on the floor. She was a great cook & loved to bake as well. She made me cookies I remember - loving every bite thinking how in the world does one make cookies if one can't see. But she got abt the house w/ease - always turned on lites for me if it was evening - was a gracious and loving and treasured friend. To her now grown children I send my love - just wanted to share with you how much Vonda meant to me in those long ago times. I loved reading the story of her life. Much love to all her family - Voncille (Driver) Williams

Dear Marianne,
I just heard of your mom's passing. I am so saddened and sorry. I wish I had been able to get Bonnie and her together. Bonnie is in a home and doesn't go anywhere anymore.
I loved your mom .
She was an incredible woman.
Christie will be so sad. She tells her girls how she would play The Wizard of Oz at grandma Bonnie's and when Vonda was there she always wanted to be the witch ,lol. She had such a great sense of humor. I can just picture Pete and your mom teasing each other right now. Life goes on ,but we hold tight to those special memories.
You've had it rough losing your dad, mom, sister and brother.
I always visit the parking meter at their gravesite when I take a walk ,and deposit a coin if I have one on me. That is my favorite headstone in the entire cemetery. I would love to know the story on it.
I am so sad I missed the funeral. I had no idea she died until today. Craig was over my house and told me about your mom's passing.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you here .I know you live far away and if you need me just call . 208-859-8114.
Love,
Carolyn
