Alek Lenkiewicz

1975 - 2023

Alek Lenkiewicz, age 47, of South Glens Falls, New York peacefully departed this world on September 6, 2023 surrounded by love.

Alek was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and grew up in the Battle Creek, Michigan area. His warm smile and genuine kindness touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Alek dedicated several years of his life as a volunteer firefighter, bravely protecting his community. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing drums in a local band. However, it was his warm hugs and ability to make everyone feel loved that made Alek the amazing man we knew him to be. He was a brave cancer survivor and helped other men affected by cancer through his affiliation with Man Up To Cancer.

Prior to his passing, Alek spent the morning watching a spectacular sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean and making memories his family will cherish forever.

He is survived by his beloved fiancé, Jennette Deepe Hubinger, and her son, Zachary; his adored daughter, Myah; and the Deepe family. He is also survived by his parents, Mark and Sue Lenkiewicz, and his sister, Virginia Solis (Art) all of Springfield, MI. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, whose lives were touched by his presence.

A ceremony to honor and celebrate Alek's life will be held in the coming weeks.

In remembrance of Alek, contributions can be made to honor his legacy. Donations can be directed to Man Up to Cancer, 96 Two Lights Rd., Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107. Alek was an active and beloved member of the Man Up to Cancer support community, and donations in his honor will support the impactful Chemo Backpack program. This program provides essential comfort items to individuals undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or other treatments, offering solace during their difficult journeys. Additionally, donations can also be made to local firehouses or animal shelters, causes that were close to Alek's heart and reflect his dedication to serving others.
