Anna Noe Obituary

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. Anna Marie Noe, 93, a resident of Danforth Street, in Hoosick Falls, died peacefully Wednesday morning, July 2, 2008, at the Hoosick Falls Health Center in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. Anna was born in New York City on March 19, 1915, the daughter of John and Louise (Will) Niederberger. She was raised in New York City and graduated from New Town High School winning many awards as a seamstress. In 1939, at the Worlds Fair in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., Anna married Charles Noe and enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage until the death of her husband in 1988. Anna was a caring mother and also worked for many years at the Readers Digest Association in Pleasantville, N.Y. Upon retirement, she left her home in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. and moved with her husband to Holiday, Fla. Anna is survived by her two sons, Dr. Christian J. Noe of Crofton, Md. and Charles H. Noe of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., six grandchildren: Caroline Noe and Alison Carter of Maryland, Justin Noe of Denver, Colo., Jason Noe of New York, Amy Noe Peter of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. and Christian J. Noe of Grafton, N.Y.; and two great-grandchildren, Drew Carter of Maryland and Leo Maxwell Peter of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. At the request of the family there will be no formal funeral service. If friends desire memorial gifts in Anna's memory may be made to Hospice of Rennselear County, c/o Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, P.O. Box 957, Bennington, VT 05201. The family would like to thank the Hoosick Falls Health Center staff who cared for Anna these many years and to the hospice volunteers who were so helpful and comforting in the family's time of need. Anna will rest along side her husband in New Port Richey, Fla. The family has entrusted arrangements to the care of Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home 213 West Main St. Bennington, Vt.
