Charles Ramsden Obituary

GREENWICH -- Charles W. Ramsden, 56, a resident of Bald Mountain Road, town of Greenwich, died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at his home.

Born Feb. 1, 1949, in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of Lester and Anne (Hogan) Ramsden.

Charles was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and was employed as a truck driver for the D.A. Collins Construction Co. in Mechanicville.

He was a member of the Middle Falls Fire Department for many years, and he enjoyed his CB radio participation.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, John Ramsden.

Survivors are a brother, Robert L. Ramsden and his wife, Becky, of Greenwich; two nieces, Ritann Peters and Robin Vernon; three great-nieces, Katherine and Kiah Kirk and Jamie Peters; also surviving are many cousins and friends.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at St. Joseph's Church in Greenwich, with the Rev. Christopher Welch, pastor, officiating.

ÊThe Rite of Committal will be in the spring at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Greenwich.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich.

Following the Mass on Wednesday, the family invites everyone to join them for a reception at St. Joseph's Hall, next to the church.
