Dorothy E. (nee Graham) Dahl

December 3, 1932 - October 9, 2025

Greenfield Center-Dorothy E. Dahl (nee Graham), 92, of Locust Grove Road, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on Dec. 3, 1932 at the family home in Corinth, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Carol (Lawson) Graham.

Dorothy graduated from Corinth High School.

She married George H. Dahl in Corinth and the couple resided in Greenfield Center for many years. He passed following 47 years of marriage.

Dorothy was first employed for American Locomotive Co. in Schenectady for a few years and worked at the Cluett- Peabody Shirt Factory in Corinth. She then worked for many years for Stewarts Ice Cream in Saratoga Springs until her retirement.

She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Corinth, and served as a Deacon of the church.

Dorothy enjoyed camping, handcrafts, knitting, crocheting, puzzles, family gatherings, and visiting with her friends and family.

Besides her husband and her parents, she was also predeceased by six siblings, Adele Varnum, Frank Graham, James Graham, Virginia Palmatier, Ralph Graham and Eloise Griffin.

Survivors include three children, Chris Dahl (Lorraine) of Greenfield Center, Evelyn Thompson (Mike Minnie) of Granville, and Emma Dahl of Greenfield Center; one sister, Diana Eddy (Don) of Greenfield; six grandchildren, David Clothier-Dahl (Siobhan), Tiffany Dahl (Kevin Older), Christina Dahl (Eric Hodsel), Jessica Mallaney (Charles Fisher), Joshua Thompson and Jered Thompson; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Dorothy's Life will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025 at the Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth with Rev. John Aldridge, officiating.

Friends may call from Noon until 1 p.m., Wednesday, at the Funeral Home, prior to the service.

Burial will be at Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield Center.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, Memorials take the form of donations to the Greenfield Fire Department No. 1, PO Box 103, 13 South Greenfield Road, Greenfield Center, NY 12833.
