POTTERSVILLE - Eugene B. Rounds, Sr., 84, died Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born May 5, 1939 in Glens Falls he was the son of the late George B. and Hazel (Bennett) Rounds.
Mr. Rounds was a lifelong resident of the Adirondacks and was an avid outdoorsman.
He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC from 1957 to 1959 and was stationed in Korea.
He was employed as a tractor trailer driver for numerous trucking companies.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by one son, Rex Henry Rounds, one brother, George "Stub" Rounds and one sister, Gail Germain.
Survivors include three sons: Eugene (Rosemary) Rounds, Jr. of Chestertown, Gregg (Louann Mirro) Rounds of Shiloh, NJ, Michael Rounds of Pottersville; one daughter, Penny (Dana) Mennerich of Newburgh, NY; one brother, William (Carol) Rounds of Warrensburg; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Barton-McDermott Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Pine St., Chestertown, NY 12817.
