ARGYLE/ PITTSFIELD, MA - Guy Dana Spaulding was born on January 14, 1957, in Buffalo, NY, and passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
After a lifetime in Upstate New York including Hudson Falls and Argyle, he most recently resided in Lenox, MA where he shared a loving home with his wife, Sandra (Mattison) Spaulding. The couple recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary surrounded by friends and family, a testament to their enduring love and partnership.
Guy was a dedicated professional in the automotive field, earning multiple awards for his exceptional management of dealership Parts Departments. He was known for his expertise and commitment to excellence, making a lasting impact in his industry.
A passionate auto racing enthusiast, he loved nothing more than the smell of racing fuel. Even after years as a motorcycle drag racer he still closely followed the sport and enjoyed going to the track, even jumping behind the wheel when the opportunity arose. Guy also devoted much of his time to his faith. He was deeply involved in his church, serving for many years as a Deacon and taking on various roles, including being the chief pancake maker for many beloved breakfast events.
He is survived by his children: Heidi Clements, and her husband, Damion, of Eastham, MA, and Kameron Spaulding, and his wife, Anna, of Lenox, MA; and Guy also cherished his grandchildren: Mattison Clements and Elsie Spaulding; he is remembered fondly by his siblings: Linda Spaulding, Rae (Peter) Cary, Gary (Janet) Spaulding and Ken (Collen) Spaulding; and brother-in-law, Micheal (Julie) Mattison. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Alice Carey and father, George Spaulding and sister, Betty Spaulding.
Guy Dana Spaulding leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and spirit that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
A calling hour will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Village Baptist Church in Fort Edward, NY followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. A reception will follow the funeral service at the church. Graveside Service will be at 2:00 p.m. at North Argyle Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to Village Baptist Church, 131 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828 or to the C.R. Wood Cancer Center, 126 South Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801, and spend time with those you love.
