John F. Fennell

GRANVILLE John F. Fennell, age 73, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at the Indian River Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Facility in Granville. John was born on Jan. 17, 1935, in Bradford, Pa., the son of Thomas and Margaret (O'Connor) Fennell. Most recently John sold cars for Ringer's Car Sales in Hudson Falls, N.Y. In his spare time, John enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by a son, Jack Fennell. John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia (Tamer) Fennell; a son, Patrick Fennell, a daughter, Peggy Fennell, a brother, Thomas Fennell and his wife Peg, all of Granville; and two sisters, Norma Alviti and her husband, Jack, of Bradford, Pa., and Mary Fennell of Florida. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 23 Bulkley, Ave., Granville on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Zelker presiding. Following the Mass, and in keeping with John's wishes, he will be cremated. Friends may call on Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, Ill. 60601-7633 in John's memory.
