Kaye Hay Obituary

Kaye (Williams) Hay

January 6, 1933 - December 26, 2024

Kaye Hay passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, just two weeks shy of her 92nd birthday.

She was born on January 6, 1933, to Dr. W. Waldo Williams and Dorothy Mumford Williams in Bethlehem, Pa. She grew up in Glens Falls, N.Y., and graduated from Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. She later earned her Master of Arts Degree in History from the University of Vermont.

Kaye was a History Instructor at the University of Vermont and later went into trust banking with the Howard Bank in Burlington, Vt. Eventually she moved to Pennsylvania to marry Bob Hay, and she joined Girard Bank. She ultimately joined the senior trust management team at PNC Bank in Philadelphia, where she worked until 1995.

Kaye became a Realtor after leaving PNC, and she worked with her husband and business partner Bob until her retirement in 2015.

Kaye and Bob were devoted to each other for more than 40 years. They loved the beach and spent many happy years at their home on the Delaware Bay outside of Cape May, N.J.

Kaye is survived by her husband, Bob; as well as her daughter, Dana and her son, Tim (Liz); as well as by her grandchildren, Katherine, Jesse, Jackie, Carol, Nick, and Morgan; as well as her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy (Steve).

She is also survived by her sister, Carol Hartman of Henrietta, N.Y.; and three brothers, Dr. Jesse Williams (Dr. Eleanor) of Pompey, N.Y., Christopher Williams (Virginia) of Gansevoort, N.Y. and Jon Williams (Cynthia) of Gansevoort, N.Y.
