Kevin Trier Barcy
Nov. 8, 1972 - Sept. 17, 2023
AKRON, OH - Kevin Trier Barcy, 50, passed away unexpectedly on September 17, 2023 from a heart attack. Born in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of Michael Barcy and Mary Kay Jensen. He grew up in Queensbury and graduated in 1990 from Queensbury High School, where he was Class Vice-President and Captain of the state-ranked varsity soccer team.
Kevin graduated from Boston University in 1994 with a degree in Economics. He also spent a semester abroad at the University of Sydney in Australia, where he also worked on the Australian Stock Exchange.
Kevin enjoyed working as a waiter at his dad's restaurant Apple Annies (later Remington Grill) and at an Italian restaurant in the North End of Boston.
After graduating from Boston University, Kevin had a successful career in the insurance industry. Kevin loved summers on Lake George, swimming off Pilot Knob Beach and canoeing and fishing off the dock of his parents' home on Lake George. He also enjoyed golfing and often thought that he was a much better golfer than he actually was.
Kind and charming, Kevin could strike up a conversation with anyone and genuinely enjoyed people and their company.
In addition to his mother and father, Kevin is survived by his step-mother, Judy Barcy; his brother, Jeff Barcy; and sister-in-law, Catherine Barcy, both of Tiburon, CA; and his nephews: Ryan and Christopher Barcy.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held at a later time.

Years ago I worked with Kevin and recently we were texting. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was very bright. He attended school with my son and stayed friends through the years.
I send prayers and love to all his family. May he be the angel who watches over them.
Kevin will be missed by many. Prayers to all that loved him
