HUDSON FALLS - Lucy E. Worth, 94, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 4, 1930, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Overton and Mildred (Webb) Worth.
Lucy was a bar maid for a total of 35 years, 10 years she worked at Travel Inn for Bob Perkins and for 25 years at the Wayside in Hudson Falls for Paul Collins. She was a great bartender and loved her customers.
She loved going on cruises, camping, casinos, playing Yahtzee and many other games with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lucy was predeceased by her son, James Mercurio; her grandsons: James "Jim Bob" Mercurio and Harry Christie, Jr.; her siblings: Jean (Gerald) Smith, Albert (Louise), Robert (Shirley, Gloria and Helen) Worth, Chuck (Joyce) Worth and Bill Worth.
Left to cherish her memory include her children: Dolores (Bob) Moore, JoAnn (John Weber) Mercurio, Joe (Michelle) Mercurio, Debbie Whiting, Stephanie Willette, Tammy (Gary Mumblo) Harder, Regina (Scott) Alden; her daughter-in-law, Sherry Mercurio; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews: Sandie, Nancy, Charlie, Bobby, Ronnie, Ricky, Joan, Jeff, Terry and Paula; her dogs: Missy, Jeter and ""Peanut"; and many other nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024, at M.B. Kilmer, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. following the calling hours at the funeral home.
Following the Funeral Service there will be a Celebration of Life at the the Wayside in Hudson Falls.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to High Peaks Hospice and her P.A. Sean Campanie from Homeward Bound.
We also want to express our gratitude to our sister, Stephanie Willette whom mom lived with, for her amazing selfless care of our mother, the "Queen D.B.".
