Lynn Crayford Obituary

Lynn B. Crayford

March 8, 1940 - December 28, 2024

Lynn B. Crayford, 84, of Queensbury, NY passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

Lynn was born March 8, 1940, in Plainfield, New Jersey to Douglas and Joanna (Langfritz) Boyd. She graduated from Summit High School in 1958. She attended Endicott Junior College, where she majored in marketing.

Lynn worked for 30 plus years at Glens Falls National Bank. She started in 1974 as a teller working in Cambridge, Fort Ann and the main offices. In 1988, she was promoted to branch officer at the Queensbury office and was promoted to assistant vice president and manager of the Granville office in 1996. Lynn's banking career culminated with her appointment to vice president and manager of the Lake George office in 2003. Active in community support projects she served on the advisory council of the Pember Museum and is a co-chairwoman of the Business and Industry Division for the museum's capital Fund-raiser campaign. She was a devout "foodie" and loved cooking and sharing recipes with her friends and family.

A special thank you to the Hudson Headwaters West Mountain Family Health Team, DR Suzanne Blood, Lynn Keil (PA) and Maria Lang (LPN) for their loving care and support. Lynn's home care was extra special because of the efforts of Mrs. Tammy Allen who's compassion, love and wisdom were vital to Lynn's comfort.

Lynn is survived by her son Jeffrey Long, daughter Jennifer (Long) Brayman, Niece Lindsay (Koffman) Reed, Grandsons Nicholas and Christopher Long, Granddaughter Erika Brayman. Lynn was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all.

A celebration of life service will be held this summer with a date and location to be determined and she will be buried with her parents in Cambridge NY.

Those wishing to honor her life can make donations in her name to the following organizations: Purrs and Paws Cat Shelter, 6 West Tremont Street, Glens Falls NY 12803, Lucky Puppy Rescue, 511 Pleasant Valley Rd, Argyle NY and the Susan G. Komen® breast cancer foundation at https://www.komen.org.
