Marlene Ille Vincent passed away on May 6, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones in Weston, Florida. Born September 1, 1936, in Schenectady, New York, to Anita Sweeney and Frank Ille, Marlene was also lovingly raised by her paternal grandparents, Anna Wallbillich and John B. Ille.

She graduated from St. Columbus High School and began her career at the Schenectady Trust Company. On May 5, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart, Ronald C. Vincent (Ronnie) and began a life of adventure and devotion. With Ronnie serving in the U.S. Army, they first moved to Sandy Hook, New Jersey. From that moment on, their lives were beautifully intertwined.

Marlene had a lifelong love of animals, especially horses and dogs. She trained dogs in the American Kennel Club obedience and spent years riding through the Adirondack Mountains. Thanks to dear friends Kit and Erik Isachsen, she found treasured companionship in her palomino horses, Shenandoah (Shen) and after Shen's passing, continued riding with her beloved Champ.

An avid sailor, she and Ronnie spent countless joyful hours on Lake George aboard their sailboat, The Golden Lady. Marlene was also an accomplished artist and photographer. She studied with Donnie Bittner and at The Hyde On My Own Time Exhibition Collection. Her painting A Golf Course won Best Overall in 1993.

Professionally, she was proud to have always held jobs she enjoyed, whether with Delmar Studios, as a fundraiser for nonprofit organizations, or as an associate with Ethan Allen Personnel Agency.

In 1984, Marlene and Ronnie settled in Brant Lake, New York, where they lived in a cozy chalet nestled in the woods at the water's edge. There, she painted the Adirondack Mountains she loved, cultivated lush perennial gardens, and enjoyed the simple pleasures of nature. She was a member of the Adirondack Garden Club and the "Turning Leaves" book club. A faithful Eucharist Minister and communicant at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church in Warrensburg, she embraced a life of grace, service, and creativity.

Marlene was known for her warmth, and love of entertaining, she had a quick witalways welcoming guests with a smile, a story, and a touch of humor. She and Ronnie were beloved for their lively dinner conversations and shared laughter with dear friends.

Above all, Marlene found her greatest joy in her family. She was immensely proud of her daughters, Terri Nobleman and Kelli Rodriguez, her Son-In-Law, Vidal Rodriguez and adored her grandchildren: Vidal Vincent Rodriguez, Francis Ronald Rodriguez, and Victoria Flanders. She cherished time spent especially their summers together filled with swimming, boating, horseback riding, and biking around the lake.

She so enjoyed her new great-grandchildren, Matteo Vidal Rodriguez and Isabel Grace Rodriguez.

Marlene lovingly cared for Ronnie until his passing in 2013. In her final years, she was comforted by her loyal canine companions, Ebony and Ivory.

Her legacy lives on in the art she created, the gardens she nurtured, the love she gave so freely, and the stories that will continue to be told by those who knew and loved her.

We will have details shortly regarding the services, which will be held at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church in Warrensburg, NY, in July. A Celebration of Life will follow the ceremony.
