SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Nancy S. Myott, 85, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at the Home of the Good Shepherd in Saratoga.

Born on February 7, 1935, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Orletta (Chamberlain) Stewart.

Nancy graduated from South Glens Falls High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science at Bloomfield College in New Jersey. After college she worked at First National Bank in the Financial Department until her first son was born and she became a homemaker.

On October 1, 1961, Nancy married the love of her life, Richard Myott at the First Presbyterian Church of Glens Falls with Dr. William Montgomery officiating. Nancy and Dick celebrated 50 years of love, friendship, and marriage until his passing in June of 2012.

She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Glens Falls. She was very involved in the church and was a Sunday School Teacher. For ten years, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

Nancy enjoyed gardening, knitting, cooking, sewing doll clothes, visiting with her neighbors. She loved her dog, Max and playing with her grandchildren. She was known as the "Cookie Lady" at the South High Marathon Dance.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was predeceased by her sister, Beverly Karpinski; her brothers, Richard C. Stewart and James A. Stewart.

Left to cherish her memory include her children: Richard S. Myott and his wife, Vickie, and their children, Richard A. Myott and his wife, Annie and William T. Myott and his wife, Cheyenne all of Argyle; Thomas M. Myott and his wife, Patricia, and their children, Mackenzie L. and Alisandra B. Myott, all of South Glens Falls; her brother, C. William Stewart and his wife, Yvonne of Estero, FL; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to COVID there will be no calling hours. Burial and Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations in Nancy's memory can be made to South Glens Falls Marathon Dance, 6 Bluebird Road, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
