GLENS FALLS - Patrick "Ace" Clear, 59, of Glens Falls died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Glens Falls Hospital. He was born on March 19, 1965, in Glens Falls and was a Hudson Falls native and son of the late James Belden Clear, Sr. and Katherine (Corsall) Clear.

Ace was a 1984 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. After graduation, he went to work at Decora Paper and later for Fynch Pruyn where he worked for the past 25 years. On March 18, 2016, Pat married Rose Brancati in Hudson Falls where the two have lived in Glens Falls for the past nine years.

Ace was an avid sportsman and loved hunting, fishing and ice fishing. He always looked forward to fall, spending time at hunting camp with his friends, where they have a made a lifetime of memories. Pat was always happy helping his friends and family, whatever the circumstance. He was a loyal man. He enjoyed a side job servicing pools in his free time which he liked calling "Aqua Clear Pools" with his lifelong friend Jagger. Ace was a sports fan and was a staunch supporter of the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Yankees.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, James Clear; a special uncle, Joseph Corsall; and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Rose M. Clear and her daughter, Denise, all of Glens Falls; his special grandson, Dominick, his "Little Buddy"; his brothers and sisters, Vivian and Larry LaRose of Moreau, Paulette and Henry Pelkey of South Glens Falls, Marianne Rourke of Queensbury, and Joe and Lisa Clear of Fort Edward; his sister in law, Jill Clear of Moreau; and many nieces and nephews and a lot of very special friends.

Friends were called from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at St. Mary's/ St. Paul's Catholic Church, on the park in Hudson Falls, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Desmond Rossi, Pastor. Rite of committal will take place in the spring in St. Mary's Cemetery in Fort Edward. Following service, a Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legend, 72 Pearl Street in Hudson Falls between 1 and 5 p.m.
