Raymond Lunt Obituary

Granville -- Raymond F. Lunt, 71, of Rawson Avenue, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at his home after a short illness.

Born on Oct. 27, 1934, in Fort Ann, he was the son of the late Francis and Frances (Saville) Lunt.

Ray attended Glens Falls High School.

After school, Ray joined the Army and served during the Korean Conflict in Germany and Korea.

After returning from the service, Ray worked for Hy Health Dairy and Chase Bag. In 1966, Ray began work at Decora Co. of Fort Edward retiring in 1996. After his retirement from Decora, Ray, wanting to remain active, took a job at Indian River Nursing Home in Granville.

Besides his parents, his wife, Carol (Harrington) Lunt, and his brother, Kenneth Lunt, also predeceased him.

Survivors include his companion and beloved caretaker, Theresa Blanchard of Granville; his children, a son, Keith Lunt and his wife, Rhonda, of Hartford, a daughter, Sue Marsh and her husband, Rick, of Fayetteville, Pa., a son, David Lunt and his fianceé, Bobbi Potvin, of South Glens Falls, and a stepdaughter, Christine D'Angelico and her husband, Joseph, of Granville; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Morris Lunt and his wife, Georgia, of Glens Falls; his sister, Jean Murphy of Glens Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Father C. Michael Abraham officiating.

Burial will follow in Pine View Cemetery, Queensbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Hudson Falls American Legion Post 574, 72 Pearl St., Hudson Falls, NY 12838 or to the charity of one's choice.

Ray's joking manor and kindness will be deeply missed.
