Rita Barker Obituary

GRANVILLE Rita Barker passed away on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at her home. Rita was born on Nov. 1, 1954, in Rutland, Vt., the daughter of Richard and Lena (Bushey) Barker Sr. Rita adored her cats and enjoyed the challenge of video games and bingo. Rita was predeceased by her father, Richard Barker Sr., a brother, Kenneth and a sister, Rosemary. Survivors include her mother, Lena Barker, a daughter, Dixie Ramey of Granville; four brothers: Alfred Barker of Hampton, Fred Barker of Salem, Richard Barker Jr. of Granville, and Daniel Barker of Arlington, Vt.; five sisters: Linda McFarren of North Granville, Mary Crum of West Pawlet, Vt., Susan Barker of Tennessee, Alice Barker of Texas and Gladys Jamison of Saratoga Springs. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Lexis Langlois and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville. Burial will follow at the Mettowee Valley Cemetery in Granville. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
