Terry Alan Clark
Aug. 3, 1944 - Feb. 2, 2021
WESTFIELD, MA - Terry Alan Clark, 76, passed peacefully on February 2, 2021 at Westfield Gardens in Westfield, MA, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Terry was born on August 3, 1944 in Whitehall to the late Alan and Josephine (Brennan) Clark.
He was a graduate of Fort Ann High School in 1962 and SUNY Cobleskill in 1964 with a Degree in Dairy Technology. Terry entered the US Army in 1965 and served in Ansbach, Germany until 1967. On September 14, 1968 he married the love of his life Elena Berta. After serving his country he worked for the NY Dept of Agriculture as a dairy inspector. In 1972 he began working for Agri-mark/HP Hood as a dairy plant manager in NY and VT. In 1985 he relocated to Westfield, MA as warehouse manager in W. Springfield, Agawam, and Suffield CT, retiring in 2006.
Terry was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Westfield, MA and a member of BPO Elks #1491. For many years he was an avid fan of the NASCAR circuit and loved watching the Red Sox and Patriots play. He enjoyed playing golf with his buddies and his sons. He also loved having family and friends around for a number of special celebrations. Most of all, he enjoyed the sports that his grandchildren participated in.
Terry's zest for life was expressed boldly and passionately, through his unique facial expressions and playfulness. Even into the end stages of dementia, a grounding, intuitive presence blessed his loved ones. His fatherly manner was felt well beyond his immediate family and the many legendary "T-Bird" stories and "isms" will be retold, rejoiced, and celebrated by all.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his in-laws, Peter and Josephine Berta, his sister-in-law Jacqueline Berta Townsend and brother-in-law James Townsend. Terry will be dearly missed by his loving wife; his daughter Renee Epstein and partner John Rigby of West Hartland, CT; his son Peter (Lisa Skelton) Clark of Westfield; his son Matthew (Lani Mulvenna) of Exeter, NH; sisters: Sandra (James) Aiken of Whitehall, Barbara (Donald) Bartholomew of Sunset Beach, NC; sister-in-law Diane Cutting of Saratoga. He was proudly known as "Beeba'" to his dearly loved grandchildren: Olivia and Jack Clark, Jake and Abigail Epstein, and Spencer and Holland Clark; he will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved his granddogs: Chopper, Ms. Trudy Pickles, and Stella.
Due to Covid, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service and burial with military honors will be held at a later date in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Terry's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452 or to a charity of your choice.

Terry and I had been friends since Kindergarten at FACS in 1949 and remained in touch through the years as our lives took us along different paths but our strong bond of friendship never ended. He was the best man at my wedding and a best friend to the end. Rest In Peace Terry. Your trials are over. Until we meet again I will hold you in my heart.

Our deepest sympathy to the family at the loss of Terry. I remember the family fondly. Renee, Peter and Matt where just kids when I saw them last. My father, Busty spoke very highly of them.
