Thomas Nels Obituary
August 27, 2025
Thomas J. Nels, 69, of Glens Falls, NY, previously from Mineville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2025.
He is predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Walter Nels Sr.; brothers, Walter (Martha) Nels Jr., Edward Nels, John Nels; and sister, Beverly (Raymond) McCabe.
He is survived by a brother, David (Mary Kay) Nels; two sisters-in-law, Karen Nels and Kathleen Nels; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his fiancée, Lisa Cahill and her son, Patrick.
Tom immersed himself in his work at Warren-Washington-Albany ARC, an assisted living facility for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, caring for others with respect and compassion.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls, NY.

Tom was a good hearted caring gentleman. My condolences to his family. He will forever be in the hearts of Cronin rd. Aim services and deeply missed by the guys he supported and cared for his devotion to the individuals even after he left Aim for the ARC.

My condolences on Tommy´s passing, When my brother in law John (Toms older brother ). Passed a few months ago ago Tommy was there, I hadn´t seen him in forever, he was so similar to my brother in law it was crazy how their mannerisms and their looks were so much alike . My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends R. I.P
