Richard Walden Obituary

Richard Walden, 71, of Keota, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, in Fort Smith, Ark.

Richard was born Feb. 27, 1944, in Fort Smith. He was a factory worker. Richard was a member of Bethel Lighthouse Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Thomas and Mary Owen.

Survivors include his wife, Lois R. Walden of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry L. and Tamara Walden of Keota, Richie A. and Colleen Walden of Fort Smith; three grandchildren Amber and Jack Johnson, Airman Drew Walden, and Dakota Walden; three great grandchildren; four sisters, Gladys Cavanaugh of Fort Smith, Louise Dority of Fort Smith, Naomi House of Missouri and Annabell Owen of Fort Smith; three brothers, Fred Walden of Roseville, Calif., Robert Walden of Bokoshe and Melton "J.R." Walden of Gulfport, Miss.; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m. at Old Cache Cemetery with the Rev. James Hill officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mark Walden, Allen Real, Elvis Williamson, Jack Johnson, Michael Tomlin and George Vincent. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Cavanaugh, Daniel Tomlin and Darrel Vincent.

Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, is handling arrangements.
