Abraham Allen Sr.

Abraham Allen Sr., 91, husband of Geraldine (Jones) Allen and widower of Julia (Eaton) Allen of Pottstown, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at his residence. Born in Granville, NC he was the son of the late Richard and Nonie (Foster) Allen. Mr. Allen had been a foreman for a construction company and worked under local Union # 135 out of Norristown, PA. Mr. Allen enjoyed working in his yard. He was a handyman fixing things for himself and for others. He loved to travel and enjoyed driving his Cadillac’s. Surviving with his wife are four children Andrew Allen husband of Delores of North Carolina, Phillip Leon Allen of Douglassville, PA, Abraham Allen Jr. of Pottstown, PA and Caroline wife of Junius Artis of North Carolina. He was also predeceased by a son Lonnell Allen. Abraham is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11 A.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum.
