Barry Tobias

Barry Jay Tobias, 71, of North Coventry, husband of Kathleen Kay (Oplinger) Tobias, passed away Tuesday September 25, 2018 at his residence. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Manfred and Maude (McAfee) Tobias. Barry served in the army from 1966 to 1969. He graduated from Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware. Barry was a beloved son, loving father, and devoted husband. He was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting and bowling. Surviving along with his wife are two daughters Melissa J. Simpson, and Jennifer J. Madrzykowski wife of Bradley; one grandson Jayden Madrzykowski; one nephew Paul “Toby” Tobias; and one niece Sharri Sellens. Along with his parents, Barry was predeceased by his brother Paul K. Tobias. A funeral service will be held Friday September 28, 2018 at 2:30 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown. Burial will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:30-2:15 PM at the funeral home.
