Dorothy Yingling

Dorothy “Sue” (Houser) Yingling, 78, wife of the late Ronald G. Yingling of 58 years, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Reading Hospital. Born in Coaldale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Myrtle (Kunchick) Houser. “Sue” enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. She volunteered many years for the Reading Hospital. Surviving are 2 daughters; Yvonne Stock, wife of Robert of Bechtelsville, and Karen Maclachlin of New Berlinville; son Wayde Yingling, husband of Deborah of Pottstown; brothers Clarence Houser, husband of Margret of Gilbertsville, Robert Houser of Hilltop, Jeffrey Houser, husband of Tracy of Boyertown; sisters Jean Bey, wife of James of Barto, Linda Alessio, wife of Anthony of Hereford; Grandchildren Christopher, Scott, Briana, Jake, Kelsey, Troy Jr., Robert, Stephanie, Jade, and Alyssa; 8 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son Troy Yingling, Sr. and granddaughter Adrianne. A funeral service will be held at Catagnus Funeral Home (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525) on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Nelson Shenk officiating. Burial will follow at Boyertown Mennonite Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 12:30-1:45 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy’s name to Boyertown Mennonite Church.
