Eleanor Kelly

Eleanor “Cherrie” Kelly passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the young age of 92. Eleanor was born in Pottstown Pennsylvania. The family moved to North Wildwood New Jersey in 1978. They then relocated to Port Orange Florida in 1981. Cherrie is predeceased by her husband Charles Kelly and her daughter Susanne Suzenski. She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Kelly of San Francisco, CA, Kathleen Huff (Joseph) of Gilbertsville, PA, Joan O’Connor (Daniel) of Port Orange, FL and one son, Charles Kelly of Melbourne, FL. She also had ten grandchildren that she loved dearly and four great grandchildren. Cherrie was a seamstress by trade and also loved to knit. She made many prayer shawls for Epiphany Catholic Church and hats for chemo patients at Halifax Regional Oncology Center. For many years she led the Golden Oldies lunch group for Maplewood Estates. Cherrie also loved to play cards and bingo and hang out at the pool. Cherrie was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
****Mrs. Kelly's funeral service, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home, Pottstown, has been cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew and the travel restrictions in the state of Florida.
