I worked as a student laboratory assistant for Mrs. Shaw for four years while at Ursinus College. She was always in a positive mood, offering many practical hints for the laboratory and life in general. I am sorry that she is now gone, but it is a gift that she did live until 96.
What a lady...what an example!
I do think of her often now that I am a biology/biotechnology professor at a small college, and I carry on her tradition of laboratory excellence with caring!
