John M. Artim

John M. Artim, 78, of Pottstown, husband of Joanne (Ricci) Artim, passed away Sunday June 17, 2018 at Manatawny Manor. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Michael and Stephanie (Pavelish) Artim. John was a founding member of the Shamrock Boys Club. He was also a member of the Pottstown Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #814, the German Club where he was President of the Shuffle Board Team; the East End Athletic Club, the Pottstown Rotary Club, and various other clubs around town. He enjoyed golfing and was the first graduate of the first graduating class of St. Pius X in 1957. Surviving along with his wife is one son Craig A. Artim; one sister Marie A. Kelly wife of Robert E. Sr.; one brother Robert C. Artim husband of Sandra; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, John was predeceased by his son Shane M. Artim. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday June 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464, with Fr. Joseph Maloney officiating. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00-10:45 AM at the gathering center. Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N.
