John Eicherly Obituary

JOHN C. EICHERLY, 90, OF AUDUBON John C. Eicherly, 90, of Audubon, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Seasons Hospice of Phoenixville after a recent illness. He was the widower of Virginia (Hunsicker) Eicherly, who died April 27, 1992. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Guy and Bernice (Calhoun) Eicherly. He was a graduate of Norristown High School. John was a proud Marine, serving honorably in World War II. He returned home and began his working career as a tire builder at BF Goodrich, Oaks, PA, until retiring. John was a member of the VFW and sang as a teenager in the choir at Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge National Park. He also was a member of the Phoenixville AARP. He is survived by Carole L. Kleinert, and husband Carl W. Jr. of Jeffersonville; John R. Eicherly and wife, Susan, of Ambler; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and friend and companion of the last 17 years, Florence Bickhart of Phoenixville and her loving family. In addition to his wife, he is preceded death by his son, Dennis G., late husband of Jean of Gilbertsville, and brother, Richard, late of Arizona. At his request, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be made to www.phoenixvillefuneralhome.com.
