Richard Robie Obituary

Richard Carl Robie Jr., 39, of Stowe, beloved husband of Stacy M. (Whitsel) Robie, passed away Wednesday at his home after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of Richard Carl Sr. and Linda L. (Sperow) Robie, of Pottstown.
Richard was an Army veteran, serving during Desert Storm. He enjoyed spending time with his children and taking long walks with them. He was a wonderful husband and father and will be sadly missed.
Surviving with his wife of 13 years and his parents are children Alexander R. and Gabrielle A. Robie, mother in law Mary A. Whitsel, of Pottstown, aunt Mary Sperow, of Shamokin, uncle Charles Hoffman, of Pottstown, and cousins Dawn M. Hoffman, of Collegeville, and Richelle Lloyd, of Shamokin. Also surviving is his dog Rocky and cat Gilbert.
He is predeceased by his uncle, Kenneth Sperow, and aunt, Carole Hoffman.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Jan. 21, 2:30 p.m. at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Memorial donations may be made in Richard's name to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Blue Bell, PA 19422.

I just wanted to say, I didn't know Ricky and only met him a couple of times. BUT after the wonderful memorial service, I feel as though I knew him. His wonderful personality will live on among those he loved and called family and friends!! Praying for you Stacy and Alex and Gabby. *HUGS*

Its hard to imagine a day with out RIcky. He was a wonderful husband and a loving father. He will be missed very much by all. I know though in my heart hes up there making mischeif with his uncle Ken. We love you very much.
