SALLY ANN HOUCK-JANETKA, 56, OF KNAUERTOWN Sally Ann Houck-Janetka, 56, of Knauertown, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015, after bravely battling lung cancer. Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late George Houck and Sarah Kepner-Houck. Sally Ann attended Owen J. Roberts High School and for many years was self-employed, restoring/painting homes throughout Southeastern PA. Widely known and dearly loved by so many people, she was a talented artist and singer, some of whose works can be found on her web page: http://sallyannhouck.blogspot.com/ and a live Christmas music video: https://youtu.be/TjADoLUqiuY. Sally Ann is survived by four siblings, George Houck, Jonathan Houck, Janice Houck, and Jessie Houck-Walsh; two daughters, Rachel and Cara Kreider; five grandchildren. A Celebration of her Life will take place at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464 on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. Family will begin welcoming guests at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. I met Sally through a mutual friend, Sharon. We would see each other at the annual June Birthday Celebration Parties and other gatherings throughout the year for over the last 30 years. Sally, of course, would be singing or playing an instrument, beautifully as always. Sally would also speak of her family with love. May her beautiful heart and smile shine in all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Much love friend xo

Sally was my neighbor in Knauertown for many years. Knauertown is a small village similar to "Mayberry" of yesteryear. We all grew up together and knew each other.
Sally was a very talented lady in art and music and excelled in home remodeling and painting. We had the privilege of having Sally paint and remodel our home. Everyone raved about her talent.
Sally was a tender-hearted, kind and loving person.We made an immediate connection over our love of animals. Her dog Jesse was a frequent visitor to our home, looking for his cheese and bacon treats. Sally provided many kittens for our family. I still have three precious cats provided by Sally. (Rocky, Adrienne and Jix)
It's very sad that many of our neighbors and friends in Knauertown have passed on. I can't help but think that there will be a Knauertown in heaven where we will someday all meet, and there will be a rip roarin block party. Rest in peace dear Sally.

Sally Ann you are so dearly missed, you were a bright shining light that touched everyone you came in contact with, as you were going threw your struggle you provided words of comfort, you were so brave and I will always remember when you said "I cant wait to see my mom and Look into the eyes of Jesus, isn't that amazing I will finally get to look into the eyes of Jesus!" Yes Sally Ann it is amazing, but we will miss you. May these words of comfort be a comfort to everybody that is grieving the loss of having you by their side, knowing that you are finally out of pain and I see you singing with your mom and Jesus.
