Wilda Harmon Obituary

Wilda Mae Alford Harmon, 85, beloved mother Wilda Mae "Billie" (Rogers) Alford Harmon, 85, of Pottstown, wife of the late James A. Alford and Lonnie Harmon, passed away on Monday at Parkhouse Providence Pointe Nursing Home. Born in Logan County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Hobert H. and Leota Pearl (Johnson) Rogers Wilda loved doing arts & crafts, was an avid Philadelphia Phillies baseball fan, and enjoyed all of the family gatherings. She worked at the US Mint in Philadelphia and later at the Mrs. Smith Pie Foil Co. in Pottstown. She is survived by her sons, David R. Alford, companion of Virginia Croteau, of Pottstown, and James R. Alford of Schwenksville; daughters, Carol L., wife of Kenneth L. Rhoads of Pottstown, and B. Eileen, wife of Ronald Boone Jr. of Limerick Twp.; sister, Leota Davis of Pinnacle, NC; stepsister, Peggy Holl; seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Along with her husbands and parents, she is predeceased by her daughter, Betty Elswick; two sisters, and two brothers. A family gathering and a time of remembrance will be from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, January 9th at the German Club, 52 Reynolds Ave, Pottstown. Memorial contributions may be made in Wilda Mae's name to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or to the charity of your choice.
