William Miller Obituary

William R. Miller, 79, a resident of the Lutheran Home at Topton, for the past three years, formerly of Kutztown, died, July 12, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Sherwood L. and Mildred K. (Schaeffer) Miller. William was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kutztown, where he previously served on its church council Bill was also very active with Christian Education at Trinity and was a former Sunday school teacher. Mr. Miller honorably served his county in the U.S. Army, with service during the Korean conflict. William was a 1953 graduate of Kutztown Area High School and a 1961 graduate of Kutztown University with a bachelor of science degree in education. Mr. Miller was a science teacher at Brandywine Heights School District until his retirement.
He is survived by several cousins.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich St., Kutztown, with Reverend Keith K. Rohrbach officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Moselem Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The family requests contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 357 West Main Street, Kutztown, PA 19530. Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., Kutztown, is in charge of arrangements.
