Barbara Gallagher Obituary
Poughkeepsie - Barbara J. Gallagher, 77, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born in Sleepy Hollow, NY on January 22, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Bashant and the late Marjorie McDonald. On November 20, 1982 Barbara married William Gallagher at the Arlington Reformed Church and he predeceased her in 1996. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. Barbara is survived by her children; Scott Wynant (Diane), son and daughter-in-law of Hyde Park, Christine Schaubhut (Mark), daughter and son-in-law of Millbrook, Stephanie Wynant, daughter of Poughkeepsie and Jeannine Oakley (Mousa), stepdaughter and husband. Also surviving are her 14 grandchildren and her brothers David Bashant, FL, Richard Bashant, SC and Thomas Bashant, SC. In addition to her husband, Barbara was also predeceased by her brother Roger Bashant and her grandson Lucas Schaubhut. Arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. There are no calling hours and services are private and at the convenience of the Family.
