Beverly Wilcox Obituary
Millerton - Beverly Irene Wilcox, 70, a lifelong area resident died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Beverly had worked as a tea packer in the packaging department for Harney & Sons Fine Teas in Millerton, NY for over 11 years prior to her retirement.
Born June 6, 1948 in Sharon, CT, she was the daughter of the late Davidson and Hazel (Pulver) Tuncy. Beverly was a graduate of Housatonic Valley Regional High School is Falls Village, CT. On June 8, 1973 in Sharon, CT, she married Kenneth Wilcox. Mr Wilcox survives at his home in Millerton. Beverly was an avid teapot collector and enjoyed sewing and crafts in her spare time. Beverly and Ken were members of the Sharon United Methodist Church in Sharon for many years and had recently purchased a home in Dover Plains, NY, after residing in Millerton for over 38 years. They were expected to move in September.
In addition to her husband Ken, Beverly is survived by two sisters, Linda Stickles and her husband Conrad of Amenia, NY and Joyce Beebe and her husband Bill of Falls Village, CT and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 10am-12pm at the Scott D. Conklin Funeral Home, 37 Park Avenue, Millerton, NY 12546. Funeral services will take place at 12pm at the funeral home, Pastor Peggy Laemmel will officiate. Burial will follow at Irondale Cemetery, Route 22, Millerton, NY.
