Wappingers Falls, NY - Brian Joseph O'Connor, 50, of Wappingers Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY, surrounded by his loving family.
Brian was born on December 8, 1964, the son of James and Mary Joan O'Connor. Brian served in the United States army. He was a self employed roofer and contractor
Brian is survived by his wife, Kathryn Healy O'Connor, his cherished daughter Kelly, and son Brian Boru at home; his daughter Maureen White, her husband Josh and his grandson, Liam of Wappingers Falls. He is also survived by his sisters; Elizabeth (Randy) Lane of Stanfordville, Catherine (Al) Marazita of Highland, Mary Joan (Karol) Tasnady, Nora O'Connor and Margaret O'Connor of Poughkeepsie, Theresa (James) Mulholland of Toomebridge, Northern Ireland, his two brothers, James (Joanne) O'Connor and Thomas (Kathryn) O'Connor of Wappingers Falls. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John O'Connor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Brian was a generous, loyal and loving man, with many unique qualities. His family was the most important thing in his life and he will be missed dearly, not only by his family, but by his many friends. He was also a big fan of all NY sports teams, especially the Jets, Mets and Rangers. Brian's biggest fans were his son Brian Boru and his grandson, Liam.
Calling hours will be held tuesday beginning at 4:00 PM.at Delehanty Funeral Home, 64 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls.
A mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in the veterans plot at Wappingers Rural Cemetery with military honors.

I was very saddened to learn of Brian's passing. My condolences to the whole family. I'm sorry I did not attend his services as I learned of his passing today. I was a friend to all his sisters and brothers years ago in my youth. RIP Brian.

So sorry for your loss...my prayers are with you at this time. I just saw him last week riding his bicycle up West Main....he is now riding with the angels....God bless and RIP Brian.

My thoughts and prayers are with Brian's family.I worked with his Neice Mary and knew him thru her and also he came into Home Depot quite often .He was so nice and friendly and I enjoyed talking to him cause both of us have the gift of gab.He made time go by and that was a good thing.I am sure he is looking down and watching over all of his family.I will miss him.
