Danny McArthur Obituary
Coats, NC - Danny F. McArthur Sr., 54, a North Carolina resident for the past four years and previously of Hyde Park, died September 29, 2017 at home.
Born May 26, 1963 in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Donald F. McArthur Sr. And Lola Rifenburgh McArthur.
Before moving to North Carolina, he worked for various employers, including Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, Anderson School for Autism in Hyde Park, Bateman's Community Living in Poughkeepsie, the American Tennis Club in Hopewell Junction, and Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Most recently, he worked for Grey Flex in North Carolina.
On October 10, 1982, he married the former Margaret (Maggie) Funk. Mrs. McArthur survives at home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Danny F. McArthur Jr. (Shanda) of Newton Grove, NC, Steven Wayne McArthur Sr. (Connie) of Coats, NC, Jeffrey Vincent McArthur Sr. (Theresa) of Coats, NC, and Christopher Vincent McArthur Sr. (Crystal) of Lakeland, Fl; several grandchildren; seven siblings, Donald F. McArthur (Laura), June R. Hoag, Michael F. McArthur, Yancy F. McArthur (Jean), Jill R. Wood (Rick), Edward V. McArthur (Connie), and Scott F. McArthur (Theresa); and many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial calling hours will be from 4 to 6 pm, Sunday, October 22nd at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
A memorial service will take place at 5 pm during the visitation. Pastor William Mayhew will officiate.
