David Knapp Obituary
Pleasant Valley - David Allen Knapp, 60 of Pleasant Valley, NY died on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. David was born on August 23, 1956 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late David Knapp and Lorraine Holt who survives. He married Cindy A. Gorr on May 20, 1984 in Middletown, NY. She also survives at home.
A local resident all his life, David attended Arlington High School as well as Boces for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He was employed as an Auto Technician for Friendly Honda in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed going to car shows, fishing and gardening.
In addition to his wife and mother, David is survived by his daughter Rachael Knapp of Manchester Ct., sister, Linda (Dennis) Maguire of Hampton Bay, LI, brothers, Kevin (Dorothy) Knapp of Poughkeepsie, NY, Steven (Joan) Knapp of South Carolina, cousins Sharon and Karen Tripp as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday September 11, 2016 from 2pm to 4:30pm with a Service to follow at 4:30pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603

My deepest condolences to Cindy, Lorraine, Linda, Kevin and Steven. So sad to read this. I remember babysitting David and Linda especially. David was my Ring Beared in my wedding.
