Delphia Robinson Obituary

Delphia Elizabeth Robinson, Ph.D.

Louisville, KY - Delphia Elizabeth Robinson, Ph.D., a Romance language scholar and teacher and a non-smoker, died April 13, 2015, of metastatic lung cancer at the Yale-New Haven Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Robinson was born April 29, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the first child of Adam M. Robinson, Sr., M.D., now deceased, and Addie Hilda Brown Robinson, who survives.

Survivors in addition to her mother of Bloomington, Indiana, include her children, son John Eboigbe and granddaughter Leah of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter Grace Eboigbe of Los Angeles, California; sister Janet of Bloomington, Indiana; brother Adam (Yuko) of Bethesda, Maryland; brother George (Kathy) of Bloomington, Indiana; and nephew George (Melinda), grandniece Selah and grandnephew Braiden of Clarksville, Tennessee.

Services will be held Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at the A.D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Cancer Society in Dr. Robinson's name.
