Duncan P.

MacIsaac Jr.

Poughkeepsie - Duncan P. MacIsaac, Jr. 61 of Poughkeepsie died peacefully at home on Saturday, January 2, 2016. Despite having advanced kidney disease, Duncan lived a full life. He was independent and on the go until a recent health setback.

Duncan is survived by his sisters Annette Manning and her husband James, Sheila Story, his brother Robert MacIsaac and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Duncan also leaves behind his dearly loved nieces, Justine, Brenna and Jordan and nephew Aidan.

He retired from the fire department in 2009 after 18 years of proud service. Duncan also served in the United States Naval Reserves and received an honorable discharge.

The Family would like to extend our thanks to Dr. Lorraine Nardi for her years of persistent care, to Father Patrick Curley of St. Peter's Parish for his words of comfort and to Marie Sarmiento for her good-natured assistance with Duncan.

Our special thanks and gratitude goes to Duncan's caretaker Carol Martino. Carol came into Duncan's life during his last year. She made a difficult year so much brighter by her presence.
