Copiague - Edmund J. Patrick, 55, of Copiague, NY passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at home. Born in Kingston, NY on July 26, 1960, he is the son of William J. and JoAnn M. Socha Patrick. Ed worked as a repairman for Trio Packaging in Ronkonkoma, NY. He loved baseball, fishing and was a good cook. Ed is survived by his father and stepmother, William J. and Trudy Patrick of Newburgh, NY, his mother and stepfather, JoAnn M. and Michael J. Franco of Poughkeepsie, NY, his brothers Michael Patrick of Arvada, CO, Joseph Patrick of Pleasant Valley, NY and Michael Franco of Sloansville, NY. Ed is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Stephanie and Stephen Vitolano of Hopewell Jct., NY and his stepsiblings Amy Durkin of Wappingers Falls, NY, John Baughman of Wellington, FL, Bruce Baughman of Hyde Park, NY and Keith Baughman of Germany. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Martin de Porres Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. No doubt Eddie was one of the funniest people I've ever known. He was a great friend to my brother Ed, so I got to hang out with him often. He was famous (in my house, anyway) for the flagpole joke. If you don't know it, hmmmm, ask my brother. Anyway, this is so, so sad. Wow. I'm stunned and I'm sending love and sympathy to the Patrick family, and to all of Eddie's friends. Shirley Thoms

It's hard to express my sadness on Eddie's passing. We shared a lot of time together growing up and I loved him like a brother. Heartfelt love, hugs and prayers to you Joann, Mike, Stephanie Joey, Bill and all who loved him. He will be greatly missed!
