I am so very sorry for your loss, though I believe I only knew your husband via your daughter, Diane, who, if I am correct, was a goddaughter of Prof Herbert Hofer. Herbert was a great friend of my dad, who has just passed away. I know Herbert greatly admired your husband too. Diane and I shared many good moments in 1976, but sadly lost touch.
Sometimes to live through shared friendships helps in loss....we really lost contact with Herbert when he was no longer able to communicate well with my father, and that is a great sadness.
Perhaps this is the wrong place to communicate, but I know of no other.
Please accept my condolences, and if Diane is the Dianeis the person think she is, I would love to hear from her. My email is [email protected]
With very best wishes, Bel Baker

My deepest sympathies to Mary and family. Forty-five years ago, Ed was an invaluable part of my ability to recover from a devastating life change, and step out into the world as a confident woman on her own. I don't remember the name of the DCC course, but I will never forget Ed. Lyn Burnstine

Edward was a man of many talents. I remember him guiding students at Dutchess Community College 45 years ago. Prayers for his wife and family.
