While I personally didn't know the lovely Nonna personally, but I adored how she would "take over the shows" with her own method choices, ideas, songs and words of wisdom! I had no idea she was gone and I was just boasting today on Lydia and her relationship and their lovely camaraderie when I found out. Thank you for sharing her with us for all these years. May God continue to bless the family.

I just seen a place where we can leave our condolences when Grandma entered God's Beautiful Heavens. What a wonderful woman to have in your life, she lived, enjoyed life 100 years. To my John a retired Master Chef (29 yrs) I couldn't wait to watch your beautiful show and instructions. And then you brought out Grandma, to taste your food and her singing her favorite songs that will never leave the memories of people who watched Grandma and Lidia everyday. Grandma has joined other family members now and is looking down over her family here on Earth. God Bless Grandma's family.

Dear Lidia, For many years we enjoyed your programs on PBS, especially with Grandma. She was animated, recalled fun memories from her childhood, and was beautiful inside and out. We wanted a grandma like her. In May 2020 we recorded and still watch every few months the last episode with Grandma. We memorized "Tutti a tavalo a mangiare" so we could say it together with you and her. How blessed your family is to have had her 100 years. Even now every day you remember something about her. May God bless your family for generations. RIP Grandma, we love and miss you!

I just learned about your mom now. My husband of 51 years passed away February 15,2021. I had the honour of meeting your mom. She entertained us in your family home. She spoiled us. She was a gem. She let my children play pool.she stuffed us with food. She was so welcoming and warm. I enjoy watching you and following you. I am friends with Zorran and his children. My husband was godfather to Dillon. You were very lucky to have someone so special. Well I offer you my deepest sympathies. Sorry I am so late. I treasure the signed copy of your cook book your mom gave me. Anyway I will always be a fan.

As a longtime viewer of your wonderful cooking show- so many recipes and methods you´ve used I´ve memorized and have become staples in my cooking- my favorite highlight being the moment your sweet mother would appear to bring a reverent sparkle and beauty to each meal you´d serve- I had missed seeing her appear, and am so sad to learn she has passed on. So lovely was she and her presence. May God bless and continue to fill your hearts with her loving precious memories and presence.

Dear Lidia,
I just spent Mother's Day afternoon watching several episodes of your show on PBS, knowing the void that is especially felt on this day by anyone who has lost their Mom. I lost my grandmother who raised me 25 years ago and although time eases the pain, we never stop missing them. Your mother's last hairstyle made her look so much like my grandmother! Thank you for sharing her with your audience. I hope she realized how loved she was by everyone. Thinking of you on Mother's Day

I am a long-time viewer of Lydia's show and just learned today of 'Grandma's' passing. I had kept all episodes of the show that included her in them so I could watch them again and see this wonderful lady; she was just so precious and funny and 'real', telling Lydia to give her a little more of this or that, and I loved her little anecdotes and songs.
