Frank Konkolics

POUGHKEEPSIE - Frank W. Konkolics, 96 of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at The Pines in Poughkeepsie.

Born in Poughkeepsie on October 9, 1921, he was the son of Joseph and Mary Pinter Konkolics.

He attended St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Poughkeepsie Vocational School. Frank served his country during WW-II with the US Army Air Corps as a flight engineer with the 14th Air Force. He flew 46 combat missions in the China Burma India Theater and was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross w/ 3 clusters.

On April 27, 1947 Frank married Elizabeth Traver who predeceased him in 2010. He was employed as an engineer by Fredrick Hart Co., Weston Co., Daystrom Co., W.L. Peltz Co. and Rojon Electric Co.

He is survived by his 4 daughters; Susan Riccobono of NC, Linda Moore of CA., Christine Konkolics of Poughkeepsie and Donna Konkolics also of Poughkeepsie; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Frank's family would like to sincerely thank the 5th floor staff at The Pines for the wonderful care and comfort given to their father.

There will be no calling hours and funeral services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, Poughkeepsie.
